In the spirit of community building, Darul Qasim @Raleigh is excited to offer a community Tafsir discussion. Attendees will gather onsite to watch the livestream of Shaykh Amin Kholowadia’s, the president and founder of Darul Qasim, tafsir. Following the tafsir, will be a guided group discussion about the tafsir led by Mawlana Atiq Taiyab. This is open to the community, no registration required.

NEW STUDENT COURSE OFFERINGS

PCI198 Islam: Rituals and Civilizational CodeWednesdays, 7pm to 8:30pm

Prerequisite: None
 
Islam is a complete way of life. As such, it governs one’s personal relationship with Allah as well as how one interacts with fellow human beings. This course will explore both the spiritual dimensions of acts of worship and societal conduct. Through this course, in shā Allah, students will come to better appreciate the spiritual cohesiveness of Islam and be able to further enhance their holistic practice of Islam.

B-PCS023: Intro to TheologyThursdays, 7:30pm to 9pm

Prerequisite: None

This course will provide an introduction to Theology and will cover the major doctrines of Islam. The course will also cover the emergence of various sectarian sects in Islamic History and their deviant ideologies. Some of the concepts covered in the course are the nature of God, revelation, prophecy, freewill and predestination.

(The course will be taught through the English reading of one of the earliest creedal primers, Al-ʿAqīdah al-Ṭaḥāwiyyah.)

B-PCS001: Arabic ISaturdays, 12:30pm to 2pm

Prerequisite: Quran reading fluency
Students will learn the four primary characteristics of a noun and how to conjugate them in the nominative, accusative, and genitive cases. Students will then progress to combining nouns to form various forms of nominal sentences. Nearing the end of the semester, students will begin conjugating past tense verbs.

B-PCS011 Arabic Lab IWednesdays, 6p to 7p

Corequisite: B-PCS001

Students will be immersed in learning the application of the grammatical concepts that are being studied in PCS001 (Arabic I) through textual reading and class discussions.
