Ibn Khaldūn, a pioneer theoretician in the field of social sciences, proposed in his Muqaddimah a novel approach to understanding human history, foretelling many aspects of anthropological methods and analyses.  Reading Ibn Khaldūn is a series of eight lectures that will explore the Muqaddimah, through analyzing his times and methods, and facilitates a close reading of key passages.
