Breach in Civility Code of Conduct

Breach in Civility Code of Conduct

  • CIVILITY STATEMENT Civility is to conduct oneself with respect and regard for others as exemplified in the Muslim civilizational code that has been established in institutions of learning throughout Islamic history going back to the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ.
Civility is to be polite, considerate, tactful, well-mannered, gracious, courteous and modest. These qualities, and the etiquette and behavior that underlies them, are collectively said to constitute adab in the Islamic tradition.
Adab fosters an environment in which academic freedom and integrity thrive as prerequisites to the free exchange of ideas and knowledge within the institution.
Darul Qasim affirms the value of each individual at Darul Qasim, and as a prerequisite to learning and teaching, expects all its members to adhere to the principles of civility/adab that have been adopted by the institution. Individuals found to be behaving in violation of this code of conduct may be liable to disciplinary action and ultimately dismissal from the institution.

OFFICIAL COMPLAINT SUBMISSION OF BREACH IN CIVILITY CODE OF CONDUCT

The Dean of Students will receive submissions made towards students.
Policies outlined under the Grievance Policy (as documented in the Student Life Handbook) will be adhered to for submissions towards the breach of civility code of conduct.
