Note from Our Librarian

With the establishment of the Mawlana Anwar Shah Kashmiri Library, Darul Qasim welcomes access to its interdisciplinary resources and vital space for students and patrons to convene, research, and create. However, we are not accepting gifts for the collections at Darul Qasim unrestrictedly. As an academic research library, our stacks consists of a carefully scrutinized collection that reflects the needs of our students, classes offered,
and departmental expertises. We simply cannot accept every donation due to limited precious shelving space and the ones we choose to accept receive thorough screening.

Darul Qasim may accept gifts-in-kind to help provide additional materials that might not otherwise be available to users of our collections, but only after mediation from the relevant disciplinary librarian and departmental staff. Please do not drop off any resources of any kind, including books, magazines, and DVDs. It is only after being considered for acquisition by the Library and accepted, can we determine the steps for initial storage to final processing.

If you have any questions about what the Library and its dedicated staff are doing to help keep Darul Qasim moving forward, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Sincerely,
Kamil Uddin
Mawlana Anwar Shah Kashmiri Librarian, Darul Qasim
