Continuing the Living Tradition

At Darul Qasim College, our focus is mostly on teaching and I think that’s a deliberate choice.  I respect Shaykh Amin for thinking that way.

Dr. Muhammad, Department of Theology Chair, brings into focus the department’s and college’s commitment to training future scholars in the field of Islamic Studies through a curriculum and pedagogy rooted in the Islamic intellectual tradition’s  idea of a living tradition.  The continuation of a living tradition centers the teacher-student relationship and is a central component in employing a curriculum and pedagogy that is Prophetically linked.

Join us for Part 6 of our Ramadan Series:  In the Willow’s Shade, as Dr. Muhammad expands on Darul Qasim College’s commitment to Continuing the Living Tradition through his own teaching practices in the Department of Theology.
