Sūrah Fāṭir (35:1-2)

It’s a sign of the Day of Judgment when what is against the fiṭrah (natural disposition) becomes the norm. In this lecture:

Do not be consumed by your blessings to the point that you forget the One ﷻ Who gave them to you.

shukr (gratefulness) in the fiṭrah (natural disposition)

Allah ﷻ reminds us that He ﷻ is the Originator of creation, which He ﷻ has created without a blueprint. In this lecture:

– barakah and longevity

Sūrah Fāṭir (35:14-24)
Allah ﷻ has subjugated everything He ﷻ has created to human beings, and human beings must subjugate themselves to His ﷻ Will.

– Individual responsibility and accountability (in both worlds)

Sūrah Fāṭir (35:25-28)
A plurality or diversity in creation does not imply a plurality in Divinity, rather it is a proof of Divine Oneness (Tawḥīd).

In this lecture:
– Allah’s ﷻ Divine Creativity manifest in the diversity found in nature around man, as well as in the diversity amongst and within men
– a category of men and women commended by Allah (S)
khashyah (reverence of Allah ﷻ)
– arrogance and humbleness
– appreciating diversity as Muslims

Sūrah Fāṭir (35:29-35)
A total and comprehensive understanding of diversity comes to those who apply their understanding in their lives and manifest it in their worship.

al-Shakūr (The Most Appreciative) ﷻ
– the reward of a good intent
– the Qurʾān as a muṣaddiq (confirmation)
– knowledge as prophetic inheritance
– the grades of Allah’s ﷻ Faḍl (Favor)
– diversity in creativity

Sūrah Fāṭir (35:36-39)

Sūrah Fāṭir (35:36-39)
Disbelief in the Fāṭir (Creator) ﷻ attracts punishment without end.

In this lecture:

– the layers of diversity from a source of indivisible Oneness

– knowledge in Jannah
– Iman spanning the cosmos

Human actions can adversely affect the heavens and the earth, and it is only by the Grace of Allah ﷻ that cosmological order is maintained.
