Born and raised in Chicago, Ustadha Quratalanyn completed her hifz in 2006. She completed her alimiyya studies in 2009 from the Shariahboard of America while studying under Mufti Naval ul Rehman and other prominent scholars.
She went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in education from Northeastern Illinois University with a minor in language arts and social science. She embarked upon her qiraat journey shortly after completing the memorization of the Quran, under the tuleage of Qari Abdul Mannan. From him, she received her first sanad and learned the premiers of the tajweed books as well as studied the jazariyyah.
In 2010, she opened the first tahfeez madrasas for females in the Chicagoland area and has taught students aged 5 to 70+. After moving to the suburbs of Chicago, she has been teaching in and outside of various Islamic institutions and has been affiliated with Darul Qasim since 2016 as a student and teacher. Since then she has gained multiple ijazahs in the qiraat of Hafs and is currently pursuing her ijazah in the asharah qiraat.
She resides in Bloomingdale, IL with her four children. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors in nature.
