Instructor, Introductory Arabic Program
Javeed Chida was born and raised in Madras in South India. He emigrated to the United States in 1998. After earning a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, Javeed moved to the Greater Chicago area in the year 2000 to work as a Software Engineer. In 2001, after listening to Shaykh Amin speak at an event, Javeed was immediately drawn towards Darul Qasim where he enrolled in the Arabic Studies program. He continues to this day to study part-time at Darul Qasim where he pursues both Arabic and Islamic studies coursework. He also serves as an instructor for 100-level and 200-level Arabic courses. Javeed lives in Wheaton with his wife and four children.
