ʿĀlimah Amina Lakhi

ʿĀlimah Amina Lakhi completed the Aalamiyaat Course with honors in 2009 at the Darul Uloom Al-Madania Islamic Seminary in Buffalo, New York. She began her teaching career in 2010 as an Instructor at the Guidance Education Academy in Chicago where she taught primary and middle school students. Her service there earned her recognition as a Distinguished Teacher in 2012. Later that year, she led the Islamic Studies department there continuing to teach Middle school grades until June of 2013. In August 2012, ʿĀlimah Amina concurrently served at the Nawal Academy in Chicago as Vice Principal, dividing her time between teaching duties, office administration and other operational tasks.

In the last quarter of 2014, she joined Darul Qasim as an Arabic Instructor teaching Grammar and Qurʾānic recitation with an emphasis on Tajwīd. She has also taught a well-received course on Islamic Civilization for Women that was planned and designed under the supervision of Shaykh Amin Kholwadia.

ʿĀlimah Amina Lakhi lives in Glendale Heights, IL with her husband and daughter.
