Islamic Education in the WestDownloadIn this lecture Shaykh Amin Kholwadia defines the Islamic vision of education and then explores the conceptual contrasts between it and western or secular educational concepts. He then resolves the major inconsistencies that usually arise when people try to implement the Islamic vision in a western secular environment, and alerts to what common basic and principal misconceptions on the part of many Muslims compromise the effectiveness of Islamic education in such an environment. The talk runs approximately one hour and six minutes, and was delivered at the Islamic Center of the Eastside in Bellevue, Washington, at the invitation of the Thawr Institute (thawr.org).

MaghfirahDownloadRAMADAN SERIES, Part 2 of 3: The second ten days of Ramadan are the days of maghfira, or forgiveness. Shaykh Amin discusses how maghfira brings down the grace, or fadl, or Allah and how it is the highest stage that a believer can achieve on earth. Moreover, Shaykh Amin discusses the relationship between victory and forgiveness in Islam. The volume is low on this recording, so you may need to turn the volume up quite a bit to hear it properly.
DeliveranceDownloadRAMADAN SERIES, Part 3 of 3: The third ten days of Ramadan are the days of deliverance from the fire.
